工程科技转译医学国际硕士学位学程

台湾最顶尖的人才在医界,医疗技术在国际间享有盛名,全球前200大医院中,台湾就占了14家,仅次于美国及德国,排名全球第三,也是亚洲第一。考虑人口老化与少子化等因素,本院将发展转译医学特色,目前合聘14位国家卫生研究院研究人员,并于106年规划设置工程科技转译医学研究硕士学程,合聘教师共同指导研究生进行转译医学相关研究,此外,未来五年本院将结合学校政策,与苗栗大千医院、台北市立联合医院、国军台中医院等单位,积极推动医疗产业与材料相关领域之课题,例如:辅具、生物相容材料、人工替换材料(人工皮肤与人工关节、人工血管、假牙)、生医检测技术、智慧传感材料与元件等。

The NUU/NHRI Joint Program of Translation Medicine is one of the premier graduate programs in the world. The goal of translational medicine” is to combine the engineering and medical research to promote enhancements in prevention, diagnosis, and therapies. This master program offers various disciplinary curriculum for local and international students. This program is collaborated with the faculties of the National United University (NUU) and National Health Research Institute (NHRI) in Miaoli Taiwan. Sixteen Professors from NUU and thirteen Investigators from NHRI are included in this program. Students from this program will take courses both in NUU and NHRI campus, and perform their research in NHRI. The research topics comprised in this program are:

Students can also discuss and learn with the outstanding research faculty to improve their interests of “Translational Medicine”. The achievements of their study in basic life science research could use in the clinical application.

Funding and Tuition Fee
1.  All students joining this program will receive research assistantship of NT$ 8,000/month from NHRI.
2.  International students will have tuition fee waiver scholarship for the first semester*. The second semester and after, a monthly scholarship
 of NT$8,000 ~ NT$10,000 for the semester (4.5 months) from NUU will be granted to the international students whose previous semester achievement is higher than 80, with at least 4 credits in the previous semester.
3.  More scholarships offered by the Ministry of Education for international students can be found from the website (http://english.moe.gov.tw/lp.asp?ctNode=11425&CtUnit=1344&BaseDSD=16&mp=1).
4.  The tuition fee for international students is NT$ 54,000/semester based on academic year 2016. The rate is for reference only and subject to change annually.
